Popsicolor App Reviews

A unique coloring tool for blending various shades and then some. Cheers to the developer for updating and keeping the app evolving. It would be nice if there was a way to blend in the raw photograph to the processed photograph if that may be possible, sometimes my pictures seem unrecognizable but with the new ink-tensify feature the outline of shapes seems more apparent. Thanks

Popsicolor is totally original. I havent seen anything else even close to this in the App Store. It helps if your image has a lot of contrast. After you use it for a while, you start to anticipate which images that will probably look good. I highly recommend this app. Its very addictive and a lot of fun!

But its made with class just the same! This one is not particularly my style (their other app, Percolator is the bomb!) still though, this one is made just as well as the other. If there were such a thing as app social class, these would be in the top. They belong up there with Apple, Reece Witherspoon, Daft Punk and the Beatles. (Or whatever your version of class/royalty may be)

Learned about Popsicolor in Watercolor Artist magazine. Have been struggling with lack of inspiration for a while, and this app gave me some great new ideas. It also helped nudge me out of my comfort zone: from very realistic painting to something more whimsical and abstract.

Was not what I expected. Not a true watercolor. Only two colors.

I am usually not inclined to download an app that transforms your photo into some other look alike medium. But I really like percolator by the same developer. This app first, does a great job and second a great tool to add affects from other apps or layer it to get even more interesting effects. Adding light leaker affects is a perfect example and not achievable in actual watercolor. If you like playing with multiple apps this would be a great addition.

Another solid update!

Love the app except that there is no way to clear the image and start over without shutting it down and reopening. Also needs an undo feature.

No overly crazy about this app. I tried it on a few pictures and the images wash out and you lose detail.

Love this app as well as the percolator app! Nothing I would change about it, other than picking up darker skin tones, and allowing the photos actual color be watercolor-ified

no crashes no problems. best and original artistic app for iphone. best of all no in app purchases you get everything with the original purchase.

The pictures and reviews built this app up and I had high hopes, but I gotta say Im a little bummed. The effects have no option to adjust strength or transparency and they simply drown out about 75% of the pics I try to edit. The pic has to be just right in brightness and contrast, or the subject gets drowned out and theres nothing you can really do about it. A simple option to adjust the effect strength would make a huge difference.

I like to play with all the different features of the app and even with the examples. I design graphics and this is a fun one to use or use with another app

This was a great idea for an app and tastefully designed. I love the cute little names they use and the options and colors are wonderful. Ive played with it all afternoon today and love trying different pictures. Its better to use less detailed pictures with recognizable shapes. I love this app and intend to use it a lot in the future! :)

… Easy to use, great visual results. In my eyes, only two things keep it from being completely perfect: the results of using the "adding ink" feature are dark artifacts that break the border of the underlying watercolor piece. Sometimes its a good thing, but the only way to make it good every time is to make it controllable. The other problem is that when I click the "write a review" button within the app it takes me to a blank screen within the App Store, which makes me have to take an extra step in order to come back and write the glowing review this app deserves!

Ive used (and loved) a lot of photo apps, so Im not sure why Im getting such terrible results from this app. There seems to be no way to adjust how the filter interprets your photo. So I spend lots of time in other apps, trying to change contrast and white balance so this app can give me a recognizable result. Instead, I keep getting results that are too light, too dark, or just look like random parts of the photo were erased. Disappointing.

Beautiful, amazing app, highly recommended...

A lot of fun, lots of options! Generates really cool artwork, worthy of printing and hanging up on the wall!
